Tier-1 equipment, engineer-matched

We only install products built to perform in Fiji's heat, humidity and high sun — tier-1 panels, grid-tie and hybrid inverters proven in tropical conditions, lithium battery storage and cyclone-rated mounting. Every system is matched to your roof and how you actually use power.

Solar Hub Fiji builds every system from four parts, each chosen for the tropics: tier-1 solar panels rated for high heat and humidity with long performance warranties; a grid-tie or hybrid inverter sized to your usage and grid reliability; lithium battery storage for evening use and outage backup; and cyclone-rated mounting engineered for high-wind loads. Every install includes real-time monitoring so you can see generation, household load and battery state from your phone. We keep equipment tier-1 and engineer-matched — the right combination depends on your roof, your loads and your goals, which is what your free design confirms.

Solar panels

Tier-1 panels built for high heat and humidity

Fiji's strong sun is an advantage — but heat and humidity punish low-grade panels. We install tier-1 modules: independently quality-rated, bankable, and engineered to keep performing in tropical conditions year after year.

Tier-1 rated
Solar panels
High-efficiency modules
Tropics-ready
More power from the same roof, even in Fiji's heat.
  • Tier-1 quality rating — bankable, proven manufacturers
  • Low temperature coefficient, so output holds up in the heat
  • Strong low-light performance for overcast and wet-season days
  • Long product and performance warranties
Tier-1 quality Long-term warranty
Best for: every Fiji roof — homes and businesses
What to look for
Heat tolerance
Temperature coefficient
Cooler = better
Panels lose output as they get hotter — the rate matters in Fiji.
  • A lower temperature coefficient means less loss on hot days
  • Quality cells and backsheets resist humidity and salt air
  • Robust framing and glass stand up to tropical weather
  • Independent ratings (e.g. IEC 61215 / 61730) confirm durability
Heat-resilient IEC-certified
Best for: coastal and high-sun sites across Fiji
Why it matters
Bankability
Warranty that lasts
25+ years
A warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it.
  • Tier-1 manufacturers are financially stable and widely supported
  • Long product warranties (parts) plus performance warranties (output)
  • Predictable, slow degradation over decades
  • No untested, white-label gear that may be unsupported in years to come
Bankable brand Real support
Best for: anyone investing for the long term
Why tier-1 in Fiji?
Made for the heat

Quality panels with a low temperature coefficient lose less output on Fiji's hottest days — exactly when you need them most.

Humidity & salt resistant

Better cells, backsheets and seals stand up to humidity and coastal salt air, so performance doesn't fall away early.

Slow degradation

Tier-1 panels degrade slowly and predictably — you keep a high share of the original output many years in.

Warranties that hold

Long product and performance warranties from manufacturers stable enough to actually honour them.

Inverters

Grid-tie or hybrid — the brain of your system

The inverter turns your panels' DC power into usable AC and manages the whole system. Which type you need depends on one question: do you want to stay powered when the EFL grid goes down?

Grid-connected
Grid-tie inverter
Lowest-cost path to savings
No battery
Cut your EFL bill by running on solar through the day.
  • Powers your home or business directly from the sun while it's shining
  • The most affordable way to start saving on power
  • High efficiency, proven in tropical conditions
  • Note: a grid-tie-only system switches off during a grid outage
High efficiency Best upfront value
Best for: daytime users wanting maximum savings per dollar
Battery-ready
Hybrid inverter
Solar + storage in one
Outage backup
Use your solar in the evening and stay on through outages.
  • Manages panels and a battery together for round-the-clock solar
  • Keeps essentials running when the grid drops
  • Add a battery now or be ready to add one later
  • Smart control to maximise self-consumption
Battery-ready Outage resilience
Best for: homes & businesses that can't afford to go dark
Off-grid
Off-grid inverter
Full independence
No EFL connection
Reliable power where the grid doesn't reach.
  • Runs a property entirely on solar and battery storage
  • Sized for real loads on outer-island and remote sites
  • Can integrate a backup generator for the wet season
  • Engineered and project-managed end to end
Standalone power Island-ready
Best for: outer islands and properties beyond the grid

Not sure which you need? If your priority is the lowest-cost bill reduction and outages aren't a concern, grid-tie is usually the answer. If staying powered through EFL outages matters — or you want to use your solar after dark — a hybrid inverter with a battery is the right call. We'll confirm the best fit in your free design. See grid-tie vs hybrid for a deeper comparison.

Battery storage

Store your solar, stay powered through outages

A battery lets you use your own solar power in the evening and keep essentials running when the EFL grid goes down — turning solar from a daytime saving into round-the-clock energy security.

Mounting & install

Cyclone-rated mounting, engineered for the tropics

In Fiji, how the panels are fixed to your roof matters as much as the panels themselves. We engineer cyclone-rated mounting for high-wind loads — because a system that isn't built for the weather isn't built for Fiji.

Cyclone-rated mounting High-wind engineered

Built to hold in high winds

Engineered for tropical-cyclone wind loads

Mounting structures and fixings specified for the wind loads Fiji's climate can throw at them — not standard hardware imported as an afterthought.

Best for: every Fiji roof, coastal sites especially

  • Wind-load-engineered rails, brackets and fixings
  • Corrosion-resistant materials suited to humidity and salt air
  • Weatherproof penetrations to protect your roof
  • Designed for your specific roof type and pitch

Track solar generation, what your home or business is using, and your battery's state of charge — live, from anywhere.

Best for: everyone — see exactly what your system is doing

  • Live generation and consumption
  • Battery charge level and backup status
  • History so you can track savings over time
  • Early alerts if something needs attention

Heads up: the monitoring app you use depends on the inverter we install. We'll show you exactly how to set up the app, link your system and read the data during commissioning — and our team can help interpret it any time after.

Equipment categories shown are indicative. Exact products depend on your system design, availability and budget — our engineers recommend the best combination for your roof, your usage and Fiji's climate. All panels we install carry tier-1 status or an equivalent independent quality rating.
