Warranty
How we stand behind our work — a workmanship guarantee on every install, plus the manufacturer warranties that come with tier-1 equipment.
Please note: this is a plain-English summary provided for transparency, not legal advice or the warranty contract itself. The specific terms, periods and exclusions that apply to you are those set out in your written quote, contract and the relevant manufacturer documentation. Solar Hub Fiji should have this summary reviewed by a Fiji-qualified lawyer before relying on it.
1. Two kinds of cover
A Solar Hub Fiji system is backed in two ways: our own workmanship guarantee on the installation, and the manufacturer product warranties that come with the tier-1 panels, batteries and inverters we install. Together these cover both how your system was installed and the equipment itself.
2. Our workmanship guarantee
We guarantee that your system is installed to a professional standard by qualified installers, in line with electrical-safety requirements and any approvals required with Energy Fiji Limited (EFL). If a fault arises from our installation workmanship within the guarantee period stated in your contract, we will put it right. The exact period and scope are set out in your written contract.
3. Manufacturer product warranties
The panels, batteries and inverters we supply carry warranties from their manufacturers. As a typical, indicative guide only — actual terms vary by product and are confirmed in your quote:
- Panels — a product warranty plus a separate, longer performance warranty that the panel will still produce a stated percentage of its rated output after many years.
- Inverters — a manufacturer product warranty, sometimes extendable.
- Batteries — a warranty based on time and/or usage (such as throughput or cycles), as specified by the manufacturer.
These are general industry examples to help you understand how solar warranties are structured. The specific figures that apply to your system are stated in your written quote and the manufacturer's documentation — we do not quote fixed year figures here.
4. What a warranty does not cover
Warranties generally do not cover damage caused by events outside normal use — for example storm, cyclone, flood or lightning beyond design limits, power surges, unauthorised modification or repair, neglect of recommended maintenance, or use of the system outside the conditions it was designed for. Cosmetic wear that does not affect performance is also usually excluded. Your written documentation sets out the full exclusions.
5. How to make a claim
If you think something is covered, contact us with your details and a description of the issue. We will assess it, coordinate with the relevant manufacturer where a product warranty applies, and let you know the next steps. Keeping your contract and equipment documentation handy helps us act quickly.
6. Your consumer rights
These warranties are in addition to, and do not limit, any rights you may have under applicable Fiji consumer protection law.
